Security Guard Attacked With Knife While Delivery Cash

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 04, 2009 – At about 2.15pm on Thursday 2 April 2009 police were called to the post office on Old Road in Ashton-in-Makerfield following reports of the attack.
On arrival officers found a man had threatened a security guard with a knife before stealing the box he was carrying.
The box contained a significant amount of cash.
The robber got into a white J-registered Peugeot 106, being driven by another man, and escaped.
This car was later found abandoned off Poolstock Lane.
The robber is described as white, about 5ft 8in tall, with blond/grey hair. He was wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and spoke with a local accent.
His accomplice was also white, and had dark hair.
